Token launch & bonding curve
How a coin starts trading, and what happens when its curve fills.
Every coin launches fairly on Meteora's Dynamic Bonding Curve: no presale, no team allocation. The pool is created with the CRYO platform config, which fixes the fee split, the curve and what happens at graduation for every coin alike.
The curve#
While a coin is on its curve, the price rises as people buy with SOL and falls as they sell. Progress is shown on every coin as a percentage: how much of the curve has filled.
Graduation#
When the curve fills, the coin graduates: its liquidity moves to a regular Meteora DAMM v2 pool and trading continues there. With the platform config:
- the graduated liquidity is locked permanently;
- the token's authorities are revoked, so nobody can mint more or change it;
- the agent keeps working as before; its buybacks simply route to the new pool.
Graduation is permissionless: anyone can trigger it once the curve is full. While a full curve waits to graduate, trading and buybacks pause.
